Trinity Biosystems, Inc., was founded in 2002 to develop and commercialize products based on a unique platform technology originally developed at the NIH/NCI.

The Company focuses on the development of oral therapeutic proteins.

In May of 2007, Trinity occupied its new 12,000 sqft laboratory facilities in Menlo Park, which were specifically designed for the development and formulation of oral therapeutic proteins.

Trinity currenty employs 20 employees and is recruiting for several key positions.

The company received its initial seed financing in 2002 in a Series A round led by Sanderling Ventures.

In the course of 2006, the Company completed a $22 million Series B financing which was led by SR One. Other new investors included Amgen Ventures, Lilly Ventures and Life Science Partners. Sanderling Ventures, the main Series A investor, also participated fully in the financing.
