  Vaccines

Trinity is developing a broad pipeline of vaccine candidates in major areas of unmet medical need. In particular, it is focused on respiratory, digestive and sexually transmitted diseases — areas that would benefit greatly from enhanced mucosal protection. Its pipeline includes vaccines against the following pathogens:

Pseudomonas aeruginosa; one of the most ubiquitous infectious agents in our everyday environment. It colonizes the lungs of essentially all CF patients and is one of the most common infections in AIDS patients, as well as burn and trauma victims.

Chlamydia trachomatis; the most common sexually transmitted disease in the US. Even when the symptoms of disease are not apparent, this pathogen is responsible for infertility and other complications in up to 25% of the people it infects.

An effective vaccine against these infectious agents would provide very significant patient benefit and represent major cost savings to the healthcare system.

Protein Delivery
The effective mucosal transport of biologically active macromolecules has been a desired outcome for the pharmaceutical industry for decades. Trinity is currently exploring the possibility of extending its technology for the delivery therapeutic proteins.
