Job Description: Trinity Biosystems is seeking a Scientist with substantial leadership abilities and industrial experience to lead, expand and grow in the organization. The position is looking for a highly qualified Ph.D. level scientist to actively participate in pharmacokinetic and drug metabolism studies for the purpose of optimizing discovery lead compounds, as well as to ascertain a mechanistic understanding of the drug candidates’ disposition properties. Duties and Responsibilities: Trinity Biosystems is seeking a highly motivated individual with proven abilities who will be involved in the design, execution, supervision and interpretation of non-clinical pharmacokinetic studies. These studies will enable the selection of drug development candidates and provide assessment of their harmacokinetic/ADME characteristics to support drug development decisions. This position will require significant knowledge of PK/PD modeling to facilitate prediction of the exposure required in humans. We expect this candidate to take a broader scientific leadership role in enhancing in-house PK/PD assessment and modeling capabilities. This incumbent will setup and validate in vivo/in vitro ADME/PK models, and perform pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic data analysis and modeling, and report writing. Requirements: The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics, Drug Metabolism or other relevant field, and in-depth knowledge of protein drug properties governing their in-vivo distribution. Familiarity with various pharmacokinetic software packages, such as WinNonLin, ADAPT, SAAMI and NONMEM is highly desired. The applicant must possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced start-up setting. Good organization skills, communication skills and flexibility are essential. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
